Eben Upton, creator of the Raspberry Pi, speaks in this video about the future as he sees it. A world populated by computer programmers, people who actively control the technology as opposed to being passive users. He thinks that people will move away from corporations and begin to create things for themselves with these new skills.

I am a bit more skeptical for one major reason: I don’t have the discipline to put in the work to create my own product, banking heavily on myself to come through and create something that will be of value. I work at a corporation because I want to start making dependable money now.

I guess if kids get started early enough, the sky’s the limit.

I have written previously about why you should replace your current search engine with DuckDuckGo, however I think this video does a better job explaining why. That’s not to say that you shouldn’t check out what I wrote, as I do include instructions on how to add DuckDuckGo to your browser, as well as download links for Chromium, the non-spyware browser Chrome is based on.

Been hearing quite a bit about DuckDuckGo recently, might have to give it a shot.

Spending the day trying to get a PS3 controller working as a joystick on my computer, for no other reason than I’m curious to see if I can. Am I wasting my day or using it productively?
